Inga Rós is highly experienced within tourism, digitalization and sustainability and has a very international background.
Inga Rós was, until recently, Head of Digital Development at the Icelandic Tourist Board, where she managed several cross-cultural projects, especially within innovation and digitalization in tourism.
She led “Digital Tourism in the Nordics”, a project funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers, managing a team of delegates from the National Tourist Boards from Iceland, Greenland, Finland and the Faroe Islands.
Inga has facilitated workshops and innovation projects connecting tourism and tech companies in Iceland and on behalf of the Icelandic Tourist Board initiated, planned and hosted the “Icelandic Travel Tech” conference in Iceland for many years.
For the past 10 years, Inga has mainly focused on Nordic projects where she has worked with digital start-ups in various fields ranging from hotel management software to online astronaut training. She was also a Market Manager for Expedia in the Icelandic market, while being based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Inga’s academic background includes a Bachelor degree in International Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School, which then led to her studying Intercultural Communications at the same institution, before later adding on a teaching degree from the University of Iceland. She taught Management, Economics and Marketing at the Commercial College of Iceland.
Inga speaks Icelandic, Danish, English and German fluently.
